Chef Janice's love of baking began when she was a little girl baking with her mother in the suburbs of Chicago. She began to learn the art of cake decorating when her girls were small, and completed the Master's Course in Cake Decorating at Wilton School in Darien, Illinois. After a year working at Wilton and a cake specialty shop, she returned to school and continued her baking career from home. Years spent in other careers did not reduce her passion of baking. In 2016, chef completed the Escoffier Baking and Pastry Arts program and returned to the career she loves.
During classes with Escoffier, Chef Janice fell in love with the art of French pastry.
